Dechawat, (Ajarn Ta) a native of Bangkok, embarked on his journey into the world of Sak Yant at the age of 20. Guided by a profound belief in the transformative power of this ancient art, he devoted himself to mastering its intricacies.
Under the tutelage of the renowned Pra Ajarn Yod in Ayutthaya, Dechawat imbibed the wisdom and techniques passed down through generations. With years of dedication and practice, Ajarn Ta has come to view Sak Yant not merely as ink on skin but as a conduit for positive change. He passionately believes that his Sak Yant art can empower individuals to manifest better lives, offering protection, guidance, and spiritual upliftment. Among the myriad Sak Yant designs, Dechawat holds a special reverence for Tigers in all their variations, symbolizing strength, courage, and resilience.
Through his artistry and deep spiritual connection, Ajarn Ta continues to touch the lives of many, helping them unlock their inner potential and navigate life’s challenges with grace and fortitude.
Before Arjan To’s mother became pregnant with him, she had a dream in which a monk appeared and then disappeared into her womb. This same dream occurred for nine consecutive days, leading Arjan To’s mother to realize that something miraculous would happen to her. Not long after, she became pregnant with him.
When Arjan To was 2 years old, his parents took him to visit the monks who were his father’s teachers. Upon seeing Arjan To’s face, the Abbot of the temple prophesied that the child would have only two paths in life: to become a famous white robe master in Thailand or to become a thief. His parents held these words close to their hearts. At the age of 4, Arjan To’s father sent him off to become a disciple of Luang Por Uttama in the Kanchanaburi Province.
Luang Por Uttama predicted that Arjan To would grow up to become a Great White Robe Master, mastering vast wicha (ancient magic) to help many people in need. Arjan To was always interested in the arts of magic (Wicha) and prayer spells from a young age. Under Luang Por Uttama’s guidance, he practiced chanting various spells.
At 13 years old, he began learning to write and read Yantra with another master, Ajarn Suchat, and Luang Ta Pradit. He also mastered the art of Sakyant (Traditional Talisman). With his vast talents in Wicha and Sakyant, Arjan To sought to further empower himself with knowledge. He traveled extensively to seek teachings from various masters across Thailand, including Master Arjan Kaew. Master Arjan Kaew imparted all his knowledge to Arjan To and eventually took him in as a son due to Arjan To’s kindness and respect.
Arjan To always remembered his teachings, especially the importance of taking care of his teachers and avoiding greed. Arjan To is renowned for his expertise in: Sakyant Driving away demons, black magic, ghosts, and various spirits Na Natong (an ancient art of Charming involving 108 pieces of gold foil) Treating bodily pain Changing bad luck to good luck Summoning wealth for business, work, and new ventures Arjan To’s office in Bangkok, Thailand, offers various ceremonies maintaining ancient traditional Sakyant styles and old Lana magic passed down to him. He ensures authenticity and does not take shortcuts in performing these ancient arts, which have been passed down for over 200 years.
Ajarn God, at 37 years old, epitomizes the new generation of Ajarns at Wat Bang Pra. Born and raised within the sacred temple walls, he has pursued Sak Yant knowledge from the moment he first encountered this ancient art.
As the nephew of LP Toy, one of Wat Bang Pra’s esteemed head monks who sadly passed away four years ago, Ajarn God is deeply revered within the temple community. Ajarn God is unwavering in his commitment to Sak Yant, adhering strictly to the Wat Bang Pra traditions imparted by his uncle. He continues to use century-old templates and designs, ensuring that Wat Bang Pra remains a unique sanctuary for receiving a Sak Yant.
Therefore, it is an absolute must to first obtain one of the WBP Master Yants. Once you have received one of these Master Yants, you have some flexibility in choosing your Yant, provided that the body positioning respects traditional practices. He is a true master, dedicated to preserving the sacred Sak Yant tradition.
Due to hygiene concerns within the temple and out of profound respect for his uncle, Ajarn God established his own Samnak next to Wat Bang Pra after five years of tattooing within the temple. In his Samnak, he serves a devoted following from Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Despite numerous alarming tales about the hygiene inside the temple, Ajarn God ensures the utmost safety by using new needles for every Luksit.
He is a bit shy, especially with foreigners, but he has a warm, caring heart like his beloved uncle.
